About Insider Bristol

Insider Bristol is a local guide for people who live in or love Bristol. It answers three questions: what’s on this week, what’s the story behind this place, and where should I go next.

What we promise

Every page is about Bristol and uses a real place, event, person or fact. We aim to be specific, checked and proud of the city, in short sentences with real names and dates.

• We show our sources. Every article ends with a list of the pages its facts came from.
• We say when we last checked. Event details are rechecked before each post that links to them, and the “Last checked” date is updated.
• We write our own words. We never copy another site’s text, images or video; we rewrite and link to the source.
• No AI-generated pictures of real people. We use our own photos wherever we can, and credit every photo.

Sponsored content

Some venues pay to feature their events. Those pages are always labelled Sponsored at the top, every time. Paid listings are never dressed up as recommendations. The restaurant directory is not paid for.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and add a short note at the foot of the page saying what changed and when. Spotted a mistake? Email insiderbristol@gmail.com.

From Facebook?

Each of our Facebook posts ends “Details in the first comment”. That link brings you to the page for that post, with dates, prices, maps, history and sources.
